About Us

History	In August of 2007, the congregation approved the purchase of four acres of land at the north end of the field adjacent to the elementary school. We expect to take possession of it in fall of 2007. We are now ready to ask an architect to lead us in the design process. He will request input from the congregation to help us begin the planning stage. Background: For the first forty-nine years of Prairie Tabernacle’s existence, we met in the Maxwell Memorial Tabernacle on the campus of Prairie Bible Institute. In 2005, the Tabernacle building was closed and taken down to make way for new buildings. Prairie Christian Academy graciously welcomed us into their elementary school, where we have met since August of 2005. While our present location is working well as an interim solution, we believe that in the long term our mission as a church will be best accomplished in a new permanent building.
